Submission Guide

Submissions can come in really any form: article, book review, personal anecdote/story/narrative memoir, art, poetry, other media. Please ensure that any media/photo/art submissions are sent in high resolution, for the best possible posting quality.

All textual submissions will be lightly edited for typos and formatting, and submitters will be contacted if there are issues of clarity, etc. and will be notified of any paragraph changes, or other formatting changes.

All submissions will be subject to 100% confidentiality, at the submitter’s discretion. If you are wanting to remain anonymous, please ensure that you include that in your submission email. If you are happy to have your identity attached to your submission, please include any information (Instagram, Facebook, your website/blog, etc.) you would like to add in your submission email, or at the end of your submission.

Submission Prompts
– What were you taught about modesty? Were there gendered expectations? How did it effect your sense of style? Your body image?
– What were you taught about sex? Did you learn those things were untrue? How? What was your experience?
– What were you taught about the concept of “purity”? What did that entail? How were you expected to achieve it? What would happen if you fell short?
– What were you taught about dating? What were the expectations? Were they different depending on gender? What were your experiences? Did it effect how you experienced friendships?
– What were you taught about sexuality? How did it effect your experiences?
– What was your first sexual experience? Was it positive? How did it connect (or disconnect) to what you were taught?
– What were you taught about the roles of men and women in relationships? How does it fit in with your experiences?
– Did you abstain from sex until you were married? Did you find that to be a positive experience, or a negative one? Why? What effect did it have on your marriage?
– What were you taught about sexual desire? How did you experience it within that paradigm? Do you experience sexual desire? Has your opinion changed? What changed it?
